Positioning For The Planet
2024 Wildlife Calendar
We all are a part of the solution to conserve wildlife. Raising awareness about conservation will in turn help cultivate respect for nature and the environment. The onus is on us to leave a better planet for the next generation and small steps in that direction will hopefully trigger an interest in nature and wildlife species, so very crucial to our existence. In its 5th year of publication, this calendar small step in bringing us closer to elusive wild creatures through these photographs. The 2024 calendar is dedicated to connecting nature through individual exploration and will communicate an overriding message of conservation. The focus is the majestic Royal Bengal Tiger, the population of which is dwindling as their habitat is being destroyed and they are on the brink of extinction. Wildlife photographer Sanjay Browne and our team capture the enchantment and explore the rich flora and fauna of some big national parks in India including Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve, Bandhavgarh Tiger Reserve.
Our Guiding Principles
To preserve life on the planet as we know it, the UN has developed 17 Sustainable Development Goals. A universal call to action against poverty, protecting of the planet, and ensuring that all people have peace and prosperity. These 17 goals touch on various issues such as global climate change, economic inequality, innovation, life on land, etc. The goals are interconnected - the success of an SDG involves answering issues that are associated with other goals.
Goal No 15: Protect, restore and promote sustainable use of terrestrial ecosystems, sustainably manage forests, combat desertification, and halt and reverse land degradation and halt biodiversity loss.
To bring awareness to the urgent and significant action to reduce the degradation of natural habitats, halt the loss of biodiversity and, by 2020, protect and prevent the extinction of threatened species.
Mobilize resources and help sustainable forest management and provide incentives to advance such management
Supporting The Forest Guardians
The donations were also used to motivate and help forest management. Clothing items such as t-shirts, warm full-sleeve pullovers, caps, and warm-back lava caps were given out to the forest rangers to help them during the colder months.
